Special $185 Sushi Creation Course
Want to learn how to roll your own sushi? Join us at the HeadHouse restaurant for The Art of Making Sushi with Madame Saito? In this six-part, one-night course, you'll create two hoso (regular) maki rolls, one ura (reverse) maki rolls, one temaki (hand) rolls, a shrimp and fish tempura roll, and 10 pieces of nigiri sushi (fish on rice). Courses are held on select Wednesdays and Sundays and are great for those with sushi-making skills of all levels. Our Group Classes are $110 per person or $195 for two people. Or, bring a friend for a Private Class (available by arrangement with Madame Saito, two person minimum) at $250 for two people. Dinner is included in all of our classes—you get to eat what you roll!

The 12th Annual Sushi Contest for Amateurs will be held at Tokio HeadHouse on Wednesday, April , from 6:30pm to 9:30pm. Please purchase tickets ($25 per guest, $100 per contestant) in advance; these tickets include tasting of sushi, Izakaya appetizers, as well as live music. Sake, beer and wine are half price. On Sakura Sunday, April 17 at noon, show off your sushi-making skills at the annual Cherry Blossom Festival at Fairmount Park. Email Madame Saito at [email protected] for registration. Registration begins March 12 and ends on March 30. This event is open to the public, but prior training is required. Prizes will be awarded to contestants by Subaru of America and the Japan America Society of Greater Philadelphia.
